Minister to Senior Adults
From my childhood days I had two goals—to sing and to travel. But my heart’s passion was to serve God.Through some 40 years of ministry, I have had these dreams fulfilled.
Graduating with my Bachelor of Music degree the Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, Ohio and after marriage to my college sweetheart Nancy, I began my professional career in Music.
The turning point came in my life when I discovered my heart’s passion was serving God. After serving several churches, and studies through New Orleans Baptist Seminary, I began my ministry at First Baptist Church of Stuart, in 1988.
Our ministry involves mission trips, Senior Luncheons, ongoing ministry to nursing homes with our “Good News Singers” and trips to Senior Conferences. In my leisure time I enjoy time with my wife Nancy, traveling or hanging out with our 3 children and 7 grandchildren. Enjoying God’s blessings day by day.
Children’s Ministry Director
I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Born in south Florida and raised in north Carolina I grew up in church my whole life. I gave my life to Christ at an early age and rededicated my life in 2013.
I have been blessed with a loving wife and two wonderful children. In 2015 I was given the opportunity to be director of children ministry here at FBCS. It is such a blessing to work with the children. I learn so much from them and hope they can take what they learn from me and be salt to the earth. They have such a simple faith and my prayer is that we can all have faith like a child.
Minister to Youth
Josh Gardner is the New Jersey native that was blessed to marry his best friend, Florida native Che’ Orman, on November 5, 2011
Both are alumni of Liberty University, newlyweds, and expecting their first child this November!
God has called them together to a ministry of prayer, and to making disciples now.
Josh and Che’ firmly believe God has equipped the church to reach the nations. Josh came to us having over twelve years of ministry experience working with youth. He served as a missionary for an entire summer in Camden, N.J. when he was 16 years old. Since that time God has taken him to Mexico, Nicaragua, India, England, and the Middle East. It was in these formative years of leading teams that Jesus revealed a desire for making disciples, and fanned into flame the desire to be in full-time ministry.
Nothing excites this couple more than deep intimacy with Jesus, the Great Commandment, and The Great Commission.
When asked, “What is your goal for the youth in the years ahead?”
Josh replied, “That every student would be true to Christ, be kind to everyone, and go to the lost world with the gospel of Jesus.”

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child the way they should go and when they grow old they will not depart from it.
I began my professional career in the banking industry where I held positions in marketing and lending. I left banking and started a business providing accounting services in 1991, which I continued for nearly twenty years before joining the First Baptist staff.
I was raised in Cocoa, Florida, in a Christian home and drawn to God at a very young age. I accepted Christ as my savior at the age of 8, but became aware of my need to make him Lord of my life in my early teens. I have been a follower of Christ my entire life, but have seen my greatest spiritual growth after a family crisis several years ago. I pray that my testimony will always point others to Christ.
What a mighty God we serve! Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing instant in prayer. Romans 12:12
I was born and raised in New Jersey. I accepted Jesus as my savior in Aug. 1998 at Christian Camp, in Massachusetts.
I've been married to my husband David for 12 years and have two sons, Jeremy & Patrick.
We moved to Stuart, Fl. June 04 and attended First Baptist Church. After the hurricanes in 04, I saw FBC church family extend love to the needy. I served as a Awana Cubbie director, also a Sunday School teacher. I have been working in the church office part time since summer of 08 currently I have joined the staff full time.
I believe with each experience it has brought me a closer relationship with Jesus, and pray for others to accept God’s gift .
During my free time, I enjoy digital scrapbooking and spending time with all my family.
Greater is he that is in me, than He that is in the world. 1 John 4:4
