  • Dr. Darrell Orman - Senior Pastor

    Dr. Orman has been serving as the Senior Pastor at First Baptist Stuart since 1992. He graduated from Liberty University, where he earned a Master of Divinity degree, and later received his Doctor of Ministry degree from Liberty's Seminary. Pastor Orman has been a committed soul-winner since he was born again in 1975, and he has a heart for missions. He has led mission trips to several countries, including Mexico, Guatemala, Haiti, Canada, Brazil, India, Montana, and the Bahamas. His ultimate desire for First Baptist Stuart is to spread the Gospel of Christ across the Treasure Coast and beyond. Pastor Orman is married to his best friend, Kim. Together they have two children and seven grandchildren.

  • Rick Castro - Worship Leader

    Rick Castro spent over 20 years leading worship in his home church, Segadores de Vida in Miami after completing High School. However, in 2020, the Lord called him, his wife Stephanie and their three sons to move to Stuart, Florida, where they started a Spanish ministry called Iglesia Responde (Respond Church). Their goal is to lead families to Christ, and they pastor a congregation of about 20 families with a focus on faithful teaching, preaching and growth according to Scripture. Currently, Rick leads worship during the Sunday morning service at FBC and helps with Worship and Small Groups on Wednesday nights for the FBC Youth Ministry.

  • John Adams

    John Adams - Choir Director

    John Adams has been a devoted Christian since a young age, attending Christian schools from seventh grade through college. He is currently honored to be the Choir Director of the FBC and is delighted to work with a dedicated and talented group of singers who lead the congregation in worship, giving honor and glory to God. The FBC Choir presents three significant programs each year, including the Annual Christmas Celebration, the Palm Sunday Easter Musical, and the Patriotic Program for the 4th of July. John and his wife Jana have two adult children. In addition to leading the Church Choir, John also teaches Middle School English and Bible at First Baptist Christian School.

  • KIM ORMAN - WOMEN'S MINISTRY COORDINATOR

    Kim Orman is from Miami, FL where she learned to love the diversity of people groups and share the good new of Jesus on the beaches. For over 32 years at FBC, Kim has loved coordinating with the Women’s Ministry Leadership Team to provide a place for women to grow their faith, learn from God’s Word and encourage and pray for each other. Her favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Kim is happily married to her best friend, Pastor Darrell Orman. Together, they have two children and seven grandchildren.

  • Rebecca Cobo - Student Ministry Director

    Rebecca Cobo is originally from West Tennessee and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Spanish from Union University. She has been an active member of FBC Stuart since 2012 and is married to Mario Cobo. Together they have five children. Rebecca has been leading Reborn Youth at FBC for the past 5 years, teaching them about God, guiding them to know Jesus, and encouraging them to praise His name. Her mission is to instill the love of Jesus into the hearts of the students and lead them into a personal relationship with Him. Currently, Rebecca serves as the 5th-grade teacher at FBCS.

  • Julie Humphrey-Ortiz - CHILDREN'S MINISTRY DIRECTOR

    Julia Humphrey-Ortiz is grateful and excited to have the opportunity to serve the Lord in the Children’s Ministry at FBC Stuart. She has always loved children and believes that it is important to raise them in a biblical way, helping them to develop their faith in their Creator and Savior. Julia's goal is to teach children obedience and responsibility through God's Word. She is thankful that God has blessed her and her husband, Louis, with two boys. Together, they have volunteered to coordinate numerous activities at FBC and have also participated in special events.

  • Alli Blackwell - First Baptist Christian School Principal

    Alli Blackwell has been a part of the First Baptist Church of Stuart family for over 20 years. During this time, she has actitvely involved herself in numerous areas of the church and school community. Mrs. Blackwell's passion lies in influencing, supporting, and cultivating the youth. In 2014, she sought full-time employment at the First Baptist Christian School as the Athletic Director for 6 years and Physical Education teacher for 4 years. After answering God's call to Christian Education, she earned a Master of Education in Curriculum and Design. Mrs. Blackwell currently serves as the Principal of First Baptist Christian School, where she is dedicated to serving the students, educators, and staff.

  • Carol Horton - Financial Administrator

    Carol Horton feels honored to be a part of FBC's Church and Christian School Administrative Team. As the Financial Administrator, she oversees the finances of both the church and school. Carol is grateful to be part of this amazing ministry that serves with integrity and accountability. Her responsibilities include coordinating efforts to keep the property well-maintained, receiving and disbursing funds, with the ultimate goal of spreading the Gospel through the church and school. Her work aims to pour out the love of the Father into the next generation.

  • Karen Grantham - Childhood Education Director

    Karen Grantham has been working with children for many years and she accepted the position of Preschool Director at First Baptist Church of Stuart in 1997. She has had a desire to care for children since she was five years old. When Karen came to know the Lord, this dream became a reality for her as she served in various teaching positions and later as a Christian School Director in Hollywood, FL. Karen's main goal is to introduce Jesus to the children first as their friend, as she believes this is the foundation for a great spiritual life. Proverbs 22:6 says, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it."
